Maponyane To Make Memories With Ranger Buck Safaris
The 30-year-old becomes the latest member of the company’s growing list of high-profile ambassadors, which includes former Springbok captain John Smit, Dakar Rally winner Giniel de Villiers and media personality Dan Nicholl.
Soweto-born Maponyane is the son of former Bafana Bafana superstar Marks Maponyane, but blazed his own trail from a young age in a number of different fields. St. John’s College-educated Maponyane began his career in modelling and acting, where he achieved international success, before entering the world of philanthropy and business. He was named Cosmopolitan Magazine’s “Sexiest South African Man” in 2013, and has starred in numerous television and film productions. He has since founded the Buns Out franchise, which earlier this year was rated by Bloomberg as one of the best restaurants in the world, and is now turning his attention to
the tourism industry by signing with Ranger Buck Safaris.
“What a company” said Maponyane from his home in Johannesburg. “I was approached by founder Archie Rutherford to come on board, and after enjoying a Ranger Buck Safaris experience, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
“It doesn’t get much better than travel and adventure within Africa, and Ranger Buck Safaris provides the perfect platform to experience it all in luxurious comfort” he added. Qualified Game Ranger and FGASA Field Guide Rutherford described Maponyane as the perfect ambassador for Ranger Buck Safaris.
“I’d been looking to get Maps on board for a while, and once he joined us on a beautiful trip to the Kruger National Park, I knew he wanted more. He’s achieved incredible success in anything he focuses on, and is the ideal man to represent Ranger Buck Safaris” Rutherford said.
