Public park vs private reserves
Kruger National Park is vast and good value; the adjoining private reserves — the Sabi Sand, Timbavati and Klaserie — offer off-road access, expert guiding and far fewer vehicles at a sighting. For a private, luxury Big Five experience, the private reserves are worth it.

For privacy, luxury and the best sightings, the private reserves (Sabi Sand, Timbavati) win thanks to off-road access and fewer vehicles. The park itself is excellent value.
How many nights in Kruger?
