Victoria Falls

Did you know?

Victoria Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.

Referred to by the locals as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ which loosely translates to ‘The Smoke That Thunders’, Victoria Falls is one of the world’s largest freestanding waterfalls and an awe-inspiring marvel of the natural world. Situated on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, this spectacular natural landmark stretches over a mile in length, is 350ft deep and can push spray well over 1,300ft high during the wet season which can be both seen and heard from over 40km away.

As one of Southern Africa’s most sought-after travel destinations, the town surrounding Victoria Falls is a vibrant, bustling haven for tourists and adventure seekers and is home to a stunning array of hotels, an abundance of activities and some spectacular game reserves and luxury safari lodges.

Daily flights to Victoria Falls from both Johannesburg and Cape Town make this region easily accessible for travelers looking to experience the falls while Zimbabwe’s world famous hospitality and friendly local culture will make you feel right at home during your stay.

Amongst The Best We Have Ever Experienced

5/5
“We had a most interesting and informative time at Lion Sands River Lodge. It really is a lovely “modern” lodge – the architecture combines a little of the usual “bush” lodge but the real focus is on clean lines and letting in as much light and views as possible. The staff were excellent, and the rangers simply superb – amongst the best we have ever experienced. Thank you very much for arranging this trip for us – we will be sure to recommend you to others!”

Absolutely Everything Was Just Mind Blowing

5/5
“That was unbelievable. Absolutely every aspect of the trip was unreal. Moses, our guide, was incredible. Everything, absolutely everything was just mind blowing. I was so taken aback. The gorillas were obviously the number one priority but I was just so impressed with Rwanda, the people, just everything, everything was brilliant, thank you so much.”
